Falafel (فلافل وطريقه التفريز)
Easy Falafel recipe using a mini mold. This makes small bite size patties that may be used as Hors d'oeuvre or may be used on a charcuterie board with tahini sauce as a dip. It can be easy to use in a sandwich.
Ingredients: 1 cup dry garbanzo beans soaked over night with ½ ts baking soda added to it 1 cup of chopped onion 1 cup of chopped Italian parsley 2 table spoons chopped garlic ½ ts salt 1 ts cumin 1 ts coriander ¼ ts red crushed pepper Frying oil at least one inch in a frying pan.
Directions: Drain the garbanzo beans from the water using a strainer Add the garbanzo beans to the food processor Add the onions, parsley and garlic. Mix using medium to high speed . stop and scrape the edges of the inside of the food processor until it forms a mix of the right consistency. Empty into a mixing bowl and add the seasonings above Mix well. Let rest for about 15 minutes before you fry it on the stove Enjoy! Sahtain w Afieh
